Dear members of Tom ‘s family. Thank you for sharing the beautiful service. I worked at the Donald silo with grandad Peter Connellan for several years in the 1960’s and Tom called in a few times. My dad Dick Giles also worked there on the weighbridge as well as several members of the Richmond family and my own sisters. Tom always called in to see my mum and dad in Donald as he first knew them when he was altar boy at their wedding in Birchip in 1946. It was his first official pay ….5/- I think, but he never forgot them. I knew both your mum and dad and always had a chat when they visited Len and Molly and came to Mass. Tom was always a lovely friendly gentleman whom our family will remember fondly. Working with his dad at Donald silo was an amazing experience and a joy to see Peter sort out the “ hobnobs from the city” who tried to tell him how to run a silo and he sent packing. God bless you all and all your families.
