Although we hadn't seen him in the last few year, Mal & I are so saddened by the passing of John. He was a true gentleman with an honest heart of gold who always made time for others. Forever the perfect host, part of his language of love was in cooking a beautiful meal for others & welcoming people to his dinner table for a chat & laugh. A gentle, kind & helpful soul who often put others before himself. It was our honour & pleasure to know you John...you were like a second father to me. Memories of you warm smile & heart will be cherished forever. I am unfortunately unable to get to the service due to current distance from home, but Mal will be there as a representative of myself & the extended Van Loon family siblings who cared about you. Our most sincere condolences go out to his family & friends. 🙏❤❤🌷
