A message to my baka Danica, I can't believe that you are gone. I remember how you used to joke about the time when we would all need to say goodbye to you—that all you ever wanted was for us to živjeti dobro, to be good to each other, to love God, and to trust in His plan. Thank you for all that you have done for me and the rest of our family, whom you loved fiercely. Thank you for warmly welcoming my husband, Dean, into the family, and thank you for being the most caring, generous, and authentic role model for us all. Your wonderful combination of oscillating feistiness, dry humor, and charming sweetness will always be remembered with fondness. I will treasure all the memories of my time with you. I hope with all my heart that you have now made your way into heaven and have reunited with those you dearly missed. I cannot think of anyone who deserves paradise more. Dean and I will miss you. Počivaj u miru na Božjoj strani, baka. xoxo

In loving memory of our dear baka, Although we didn't always speak the same language, your affection, devotion, and unconditional love for us were felt fully nonetheless. We will forever remember and be inspired by your strength, resilience, and spiritedness, with a giggle that would bring a smile to our faces, and one of your signature quips to draw a laugh from our bellies. Baka, we love and will miss you always. Until we meet again, your grandsons Nick & Joseph xoxo
