Baka, You were the best. You put your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren on a pedestal. We treasure fond memories with you watching Days of Our Lives and laughing together after school with the egg yolks and sugar you lovingly made us. Darling Baka Danica, The most beautiful and loving soul, now an angel with the Lord she loved so dearly. Your whole life you were selfless. You loved and nurtured your family and friends, and always wished only the best for those around you. I am so grateful to have you as my grandmother and be such an important presence in my life so long. We are Heartbroken that you are no longer here in person but know that you will always watch over our family. A message to my baka Danica, I can't believe that you are gone. I remember how you used to joke about the time when we would all need to say goodbye to you—that all you ever wanted was for us to živjeti dobro, to be good to each other, to love God, and to trust in His plan. Thank you for all that you have done for me and the rest of our family, whom you loved fiercely. Thank you for warmly welcoming my husband, Dean, into the family, and thank you for being the most caring, generous, and authentic role model for us all. Your wonderful combination of oscillating feistiness, dry humor, and charming sweetness will always be remembered with fondness. I will treasure all the memories of my time with you.
