My dearest sympathies go out to the Mitchell family, I have just heard the news of Carol's passing, I have worked alongside Carol for about 15 years, Carol was a lovely person, and she will be sorely missed, my thoughts are with the family, RIP Carol, no doubt in my mind you fought a hard battle with your illness, this battle too hard to overcome, will miss dealing with you greatly at SCS, Love from Kelly & The Swanson Surveying Team

I’m devastated to hear that our dear friend Carol has passed! A wonderful friend, mentor, team mate and neighbour. So many wonderful memories playing hockey and cards, late nights/early mornings at family gatherings with our young families. So many good times together suffering from cramped cheeks from all the laughter. I’ll miss your beautiful smile, our conversations about our kids and our lives in general. I’m sad we didn’t get to say good bye but am sure you knew how much you meant to us all. I will cherish the times we spent together and remember you when we play cards and I call broccoli & shovels, I pull on my blunnies, and put rinse aid in the dishwasher! Cheers to you Carol, for a life well lived - To Scotty, Dylan and Stacey, we send our deepest love and support.

All past and current staff at Surf Coast Shire that knew Carol are devastated at the loss of our teammate and friend Carol. Always down to earth and hardworking with a ready smile and infectious laugh. Will be greatly missed.
