Deepest sympathy to you Carmelo Trifiletti, who lived in Australia across the pond from the United States, him and my father we’re cousins he chose Australia my father chose the US
When I travel to Australia for work, I made it a special trip to see my relatives in geelong and when I got there here he was with his brother Jim. They greeted me as if I was the president of the United States, and I have never met him before, and he cried when he saw me and he took me into his home and made the most delicious shrimp and sausage Italian/Australian barbecue. He introduced me to all his beautiful grandchildren, and when they heard that my flight was delayed again he cried because he was happy that I had to stay and he had more time with the distant cousin. the compassion I felt in that home has stayed with me for years and I’ll never forget my trip and when I went back to Australia for work. They even came to visit me in a casino. What a beautiful, beautiful human being such a wonderful family and I am so privileged to have known him and to be a part of his great legacy.

My deepest condolences to you Piera and your family for the loss of Charlie. I have never and will never forget him and how patient you were with his frustration. He was a person with perfection being frustrated that he could no longer tend to the things he so dearly loved. I understand his frustration and pray that now he no longer is frustrated but enjoy looking after the garden in heaven. I am sure that it will be full of beautiful flowers and lots of veggies and fennel. Love Lina ❤️

To Pier, Gabby, Danni and the beautiful Trifiletti family extended, all of our love hugs to you. Charlie epitomised all the beautiful things in life and his uniqueness and attitude made him so wonderful. We have only great memories of times we have shared with you all and Charlie was always the leader of the gang at the block with his willingness to share everything in the garden and exclusive tastings off a rusty knife. Charlie’s sense of style will forever impress upon me he was really an Italian movie star hiding out in Geelong. Ciao Bello Charlie x

RIP Uncle Charlie
Your rich and long journey from a small town in Sicily to Geelong, Australia comes to an end, sadly for those around you.
My condolences to your lifelong pillar of strength, Aunty Pier; to Gabby, Danni and Carl; to Tim, Pete and Meagan, and to your wonderful legacy - to Nic and James, Alex, Emma & David, Tom, Georgia, Zander and Luca.
Your grandchildren can be inspired by your passion for things like good food, coffee, vegie gardening, football, nice drives and a neatly pressed shirt.
You never made it back to visit your home country. Its tough living on the opposite side of the world to your roots, but I know how much you and dad found solice in each other. Even though the conversations were often loud, you both cared and watched out for each other. I remember the look in your face, each time dad came home from a trip to Italy, and you listened to the news from afar.
Rest peacefully, Uncle Charlie. We know you are in the very best of company.
With love to you and all of our wonderful family. Pauly xxx
