I had the pleasure of knowing Tony as we did our Graduate Secondary Education Diploma together at Australian Catholic College. I lived with him for a year with others in Ballarat. Tony was a beautiful person and was friendly and .funny. He was an amazing friend and he stays in my heart always. He was genuine and kind. He was one in a million. I had the privilege to know him and he taught me what true friendship is about and what is important in life. Fayxx

Deepest sympathy to Annie on the loss of her little brother Tony. We have so many fond memories of growing up with the Costa family and Tony was always such a happy and fun person to be around. Small in stature but with a big heart, he has earned his place in heaven with his beautiful sister Margie and parents, Josie & Phil. RIP Tony.

I had the privilege of working as a volunteer in Tony's classes for several years. Always, he was professional, calm, well-prepared and showed unfailing kindness to the students and his fellow staff. Of course, we talked about football, with me being a North Melbourne supporter. I recognised a true lover of the game, and respected his devotion to Geelong. It is hard to believe he is gone at a comparatively young age, but he leaves a legacy with the students he taught and his fellow staff. Rest in peace, Tony.

Tony's love of music brought us together online. Though I never got to meet him, I saw many photos on social media where he always had a big grin on his face. I hope he is smiling in heaven too.
