Alli, you were always so enthusiastic and full of life. Always positive and a trailblazer. We'll miss having you around the Geelong scene. You returned to Geelong after time away and helped make it a better place. You were a pleasure to deal with on a professional basis, but never took yourself too seriously. The Troeths will all miss your smiling face at school pick up. Condolences to Stevo and family.

Alli brought light, love and laughter to all she met. A wonderful woman, mother and regional business dynamo. Tragically lost to us too soon. Now in God's light. As the poet Thomas Osbert Mordaunt put it: "Sound, sound the clarion, fill the fife/Throughout the sensual world proclaim/One crowded hour of glorious life/Is worth an age without a name." Farewell and Rest in Peace

Alli Murphy was a fantastic lady, assisting me so much in my time here at Avalon. Often she would stop me getting in trouble, or sometimes I would leave it to her to get me out of trouble. One day I wrote an article for the Geelong Addy. I spent hours going over it, dotting the i's and crossing the t's, and was very proud of what I had written, and the message I was sending. I sent it around to a number of people for feedback and they all remarked that it was a great article, and I definately should have it printed. However Alli, being one of the people I asked to review, rang me immediately. "I have concerns about what you are trying to achieve here" she said honestly. And she was right. The article served no purpose, and no doubt would have not resulted in any future success. Indeed it may have had the opposite effect. I always appreciated Alli's honest advice, her integrety, her humour and freindship. It's hard to accept that she's gone.

We have lost a sister, a boss, a mentor, and a truly great friend. Alli and RedStick are synonymous. She poured her heart and soul into this business, and through it, she leaves behind an unparalleled legacy of contribution. We all feel so fortunate to have worked (and played) with Alli – sometimes it was hard to separate the two. She brought laughter, excitement and a sense of purpose to everything we did. There was never a dull day working with Alli. From all of us Alli, we thank you for the opportunities you gave us, for your friendship, your love and generosity. Our thoughts are with you and your beautiful family. You will be deeply missed. Jo, Jess, Karen, Julia and James

Dear Charley and Lucy Your mum was one of my favourite people. She used to make an impact every time she entered a room with a coffee in one hand, her handbag in the other, a fabulous necklace and beautiful hair that I was secretly jealous of. Mum would always tell people what she thought and, when she disagreed with us, her ability to see to the heart of things and explain what we were missing made us respect and love her even more. That is such a rare gift and something that I will miss greatly. The last time I saw her, she was so excited about the Bruce Springsteen concert she saw with Dad the night before and she also made sure to tell us the latest news about 'the twins'. She loved you and your Dad so much and she knew that you loved her too. Beth xx

Dearest Alli it is a rare day where I struggle to find the words to explain the impact that you had on our lives. When you were near us I always felt better somewhat understood, smarter, happier, clearer of thought and at ease with everything. There are so many things that I will miss both professionally and personally but they are for my heart and mind to remember. All of us 'Dance Mums' (so not true) will miss you terribly as no one quite made us laugh as much as you. We will take care of little Lucy ballerina and of course as she becomes a jazz and tap expert Emma will hold her hand tightly as they tap along together - as they did last night. Much love to Stepho, Charley, Lucy and Tom and extended family.

I am writing to express my deepest sympathies on the passing away of Allison 'Alli' Murphy. I have great memories of our exploits while living at Ormond Road, East Geelong, Sawyers Arms Hotel (Clatworthys) and frequenting B & S balls. Alli was so much fun and had such a lovely kind heart. Later on we forged similar careers and I was able to help Alli to secure employment positions at Warracknabeal Herald and with Senator the Hon Judith Troeth, former Senator for Victoria and former Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. It is difficult for me to recall a time in my 20s that didn't involve Alli Murphy. My heart goes out to the Stepho and the children as well as your families. I pray the Lord will bring you comfort in time. I am aware the Murphy family is a tight knit close family consequently my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time as well as the Stephen family.
