Dear Jennifer, Mary, Stephen & families,
Rhoda’s strength in adversity, resilience, determination, quick intellect and cheekiness were all so beautifully recalled and demonstrated in the wonderful service. Thank you for sharing your memories and stories.
With all my love,
Louise

Dear Steve and family,
That was a beautiful service and a wonderful tribute to Rhoda!
We never met her but the descriptions from family depicted a warm, happy, loving and yes…stubborn and cheeky person who was loved by many and will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts are with you today, Steve and family.

I was very sorry to read the passing of Rhoda. I worked with Rhoda at Deakin University. Rhoda had a great sense of humour and we would chat about my country upbringing and lm pretty sure she loved following the football. Unfortunately l lost contact with Rhoda but we did share Christmas cards for quite sometime. Please accept my condolences to your family. Kind regards Sue

Rhoda always radiated positivity and sunshine with a big smile. She was a great friend and neighbour to my grandparents and our family. Rhoda was a lovely, caring person and will be very missed. Xoxo

Rhoda was a wonderful friend to my late wife, Pam, who met her while working as a district nurse. Rhoda was always loyal, fun and genuinely caring about others. I will particularly miss our discussions about our joint love for the Demons.
Rest in peace Rhoda,

I got to meet Rhoda when she used to walk around the block for her walking exercises and we chatted for many years. She scootered here and there with her walker attached and she got to go some distances too. Never did I hear Rhoda go "Woo be me". She was a postive role model living with her disability and stayed independent long after the expectancy that was know. I admired Rhoda for her sense of humour and her care and compassion for everyone. Her disability took its toll on her poor body sadly. Rest in peace Rhoda. Fly with the Angels as you are one yourself.
You will be dearly missed by many.

Rhoda is a legend in our family. She checked that my elderly parents were ok every day; always asked after my health and happiness; supported and encouraged my children over many years.
Always with a smile, she generated a positive 'you can do it' attitude which was inspirational to all'
The picture in my mind is of Rhoda driving her scooter down Mt. Pleasant Road with floppy hat on her head , and her stroller ocky strapped to the back ... going as fast as she could!!
Rest easy Rhoda x

My sincere condolences to you all on the passing of Rhoda. I had the privilege of assisting Rhoda every fortnight when she was still in her home. We enjoyed our chats about our families and the world in general and there was always a cuppa and biscuit ready while I did my work. Even though it's been a long time since being in contact with Rhoda, she has left me with many lovely memories.
Fly high with the angels, Rhoda. RIP. 🕊🌹
Judi. 💕

My sincere condolences to you all, Jennifer, Stephen and Mary. I got to know Rhoda through Kste Shram (nee McGregor). Rhoda would volunteer each week at Roslyn Primary School in the Library assisting with borrowing, returning and general chit chat with the students, instilling in them a love of books. We became close friends for many years after that time, sharing laughs and stories together. Rhoda always showed an interest in my family and how each of my children were growing up and becoming young men. Her attitude to life was amazing- how often she would comment 'there are people worse off than me'. Even after she left her home in Belmont and moved to The Homestead, I still enjoyed our visits and emails especially over the last few years when personal visits were tricky. I am sad not to be there to wish her a final farewell as I am overseas at the moment. My thoughts are with you and your families at this sad time.
