Tough on me in my youth, Uncle Steve grew to be the greatest uncle a nephew could have. Stepping in when I lost my father, he was larger than life, always helpful and generous to a fault. Sometimes too pessimistic, especially in the first few minutes of a Geelong game. He loved the simple things in life: travel with Marilli, fishing, walks, family, watching his grandchildren grow up and an occasional drink. Unfortunately, when the simple things were no longer achievable, it was time to exit on his terms. Sadly missed but forever remembered. Our love and sympathy to all his family xxx
