A larger than life character with a heart of gold. His incredible ability to transfer not only his basketball knowledge to all the kids he coached but he seemingly had a unique way of teaching respect and life skills to them also. Thank you Booney for the wonderful memories Sadly missed x

My deepest sympathy in memory of Rod to his family. I immensely enjoyed working and sitting alongside Rod, his quick wit, his vast knowledge, reading aloud the newspaper each day and the jovial banter. Fond memories. You will be missed Rod. Warm Regards Cam Watson

Rod was a fantastic coach that taught me so much in basketball, but so much more about life. He had a huge impact on the person I am today, and I will always be grateful for all that he taught me.
My condolences to all his family and loved ones, he will be missed dearly by many.
Forever in our hearts.
