Mr Lancaster was my netball coach at Geelong College in the late 1970’s to early 1980’s. His dedication to raise the profile of the sport within the school and external netball competitions was exemplary. The time and support he provided to each and every player will remain as a wonderful memory to us all. My deepest condolences to the family on the loss of their most cherished family member.

Sending my heartfelt condolences to Joan and the Lancaster family on the loss of Ray. I feel truly honoured, as do many others from The Geelong College, to have been coached by such a dedicated, supportive, kind and caring man who had a deep understanding of netball. Mr Lancaster was a passionate advocate for girls’ sport and was highly respected throughout the wider Geelong netball community.
