We fondly remember a fun to be with, loving, caring and humble man. Rankos football days for Riverside Stars showcased his amazing courage which he carried forward the rest of his life. He is a legend to all who played with or against him. Condolences to Kaylene and family.

Ranko was the guy you would wish for next to you in the trenches. We met as rivals on the footy field 50 years ago and became great mates. He was as tough as nails when needed but a loving and caring man who enriched our lives. One of life’s characters who will be missed and fondly remembered by many. Off into the back pocket mate for a well deserved rest. Love and respect Bob Orth
