Phil was a cherished family member of our Aleaxander Unit in Arcare Portarlington. He was man of quiet strength with a huge warm heart. He touched the hearts of staff and fellow residents alike with his gentle spirit and kind smile. Always welcomed a chat and loved a laugh with anyone and everyone. Phil will be fondly remembered and already deeply missed. May he rest in peace. 💙🕊️

OUR PHILL He once moved with rhythm, swift and free, A warrior’s stance, a melody. He danced, he laughed, he lived out loud, A fire burning strong and proud. Then came the storm, cruel and fast, His body faltered—held in past. Yet though he lost the steps he knew, His faith stood firm, his heart stayed true. For Emma, Grace, and Kate so bright, He stayed their anchor, their guiding light. No words too clear, no easy way, Yet love spoke louder every day. He did not walk, yet he endured, With faith unbroken, love assured. God’s hand held tight, through trial and pain, And now he walks in light again. His strength was not in kicks or speed, But in the fight to still proceed. Not in the music or the dance, But in his steadfast, loving glance. And though his feet are stilled at last, His spirit sings, his love stands fast. For in the hearts of those he led, He lives—not lost, but moved ahead.

. . . Dad . . . If i could write a story It would be the greatest ever told Of a kind and loving Dad Who had a heart of gold I could write a million pages But still be unable to say, just how Much I love and miss him Every single day I will remember all he taught me I'm hurt but won't be sad Because he'll send me down the answers And he'll always be my dad

I'll miss greeting each new day at Arcare with your warm smile and hearty laugh mate. It was a real pleasure getting to know you, your lovely family and your wonderful friends. Thank you for regaling us all with your stories and experiences. Always at the ready with a detailed backstory to each and every photo that adorned the walls. You certainly packed a lot in to the years that were fair and kind to you, all before learning to appreciate the more simple things in life when circumstances became a bit more complex. My thoughts are with Jenny and your girls. They'll all carry on the best bits of you my friend. Rest easy.
