Devoted Grandpa - "Grumpy" - to Ceilidh, Liam, Mairi, Jacob and Callum; and Grandpa-in-law to Peter. Reunited with his beloved Sylvia. Now at peace.

My condolences to the Pearce family. Dougie I was devastated to hear the news of your passing, I will miss our coffees and catch ups when I come back to Ocean Grove. Reminiscing about being in the Fire Brigade, cooking BBQs and travelling with the running team, you telling me all about your family and how very proud of them you were. I will never forget all the fun we have had over the years and I will miss you greatly as you have been part of my life for as far back as I can remember. Rest in Peace, forever in our memories. His selfless dedication and commitment to the community was unwaverying. He was a family man, and a true friend to all who knew him. We love you Douggie and we will miss you dearly. Doug’s passion for Scottish Country Dancing will be my fond memory to cherish. During my visit to see Doug in hospital he said how proud he was of his children and grandchildren. Doug also said he hoped Kim would continue dancing and from today’s service we all know the bond they shared and the enjoyment dancing brought to their lives. Thanks Doug for teaching me so many dances. You will be remembered every time I step into Leopold Hall and will be talked about in fondness and joy.
To Kim Caroline and Robbie and family Doug’s funeral was absolutely wonderful a well deserved send off. Robbie your son spoke very well Ross’s speech was awesome You 3 kids did your dad proud Doug will be sadly missed, he is now at peace with your mum My thoughts are with you all RIP Doug Robyn Henry
