Brian was an amazing man. Life was one big adventure for him and he was a deep thinker with a great sense of humour. I met Brian when we established a Discussion Group at the Men’s Shed. We met regularly for coffee and swapped stories of our past. Brian’s adventures as a Bobby in London, his journey to Australia and his boating stories often brought tears of laughter to my eyes. He was extremely proud of his achievement of producing a book describing his journey to Australia We met less frequently when he moved to Portarlington to be supported by his family. He was so grateful for his family’s support as his illnesses made life difficult for him. Thank you Brian for the laughter and fun you brought into my life. Chris and I pass on our deepest condolences to Brian’s family of whom he spoke of with pride.

Peace, Love and Blessing to all the family on the death Dad, Grandad. Brian and I go back to 1964 when we meet up in the Metropolitan Police. We spent about 3 years living in Ambroden Section House until Brian decided on an adventure, he and 4 others bought a Land Rover and drove over land heading towards Australia. He made Australia his home and have kept in touch since through his visits vack to the UK. We have the same Surname, come from Scotland but are not related and never lost our Scottish accents. Patsy and I send our condolences and love to all his family
