My deepest sympathy to Anne, Christine, Peter, David, Andrew and your families. I am so sorry for your loss. I am grateful for all that Alan gave to this world, and to have had the honour to share some of the journey with him. Mum and Anne have shared a special bond for around 85 years, and in turn I have had the good fortune to share experiences with Anne, Alan and the family over my 62 years. Alan was always curious, supportive, encouraging, passionate about learning and education and the children/ families he worked with, and fun. I loved catching up with him. I am grateful to have been able to view his service, thanks. I loved the service, the tributes, the readings etc, seeing some members of the family, learning more about Alan and his amazing, giving life, and of course the glorious opera to conclude (it made me laugh, gave me joy, helped my sorrow and lifted my heart). With gratitude for Alan, and his special soul. In celebration of a glorious life lived. With all my love.
