We are shocked and saddened to hear of Wayne's passing. We fondly remember him as Sophie's nipper age manager - doing a wonderful job of wrangling the kids and always with a smile on his face. Our thoughts are with Wayne's family and friends.

Our deepest condoles to Cat, Jack, Nicole and Michaela. Our family was lucky enough to spend a few summers side by side with Wayne watching and learning as he coached the nippers with so much enthusiasm, and was grateful to be so warmly welcomed by Wayne and family to the surf club. Thankfully our friendship continued and Wayne’s strength, positivity, courage and dedication and love to his family is an inspiration to us all. Wayne will be sadly missed by our family and the greater community. Vale, Wayne.

Our family are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Wayne.

We will never forget his selfless contribution to the nippers program, where he showed so much patience and humour with the under 13 girls in his group.

Our thoughts go out to Wayne's family now and always.

Sending our deepest sympathies to the Otter Family. We met Wayne through TSLSC, where he warmly welcomed our family into the Torquay community, and our son as part of the age group Wayne managed. Wayne always made time to make everyone feel part of the team, encouraging and mentoring so many, with patience, energy and good spirit. We were privileged to have known Wayne.

The O'Dwyer Family on 23 April, 2024 at 12:06pm

Sending the Otter family all our love. Wayne was such a great friend to everyone, always had time to get involved, whether that was with the TSLSC Belt & Reel teams, or baiting the hooks for the boys' fishing at Wye. We will miss his cheeky smile and quirky sense of humour, and feel blessed to have had him in our lives, xxx.
