Deepest sympathy to Stewart and McMahon families. A gentleman fast bowler who did things by the book with meticulous accuracy. Early etched memories of Stan and his long run up and him at the helm for very enjoyable and successful cricket seasons. I can just imagine Baz waiting for Stan in the celestial clubrooms and ribbing him about either his captaincy, bowling or batting. Thanks Stan- your involvement in the SB EBCC helped make it the club it is.

Stan was in my younger brother Alan's class at St Mary's Boys Technical School while I was in his brother Peter's class, two years ahead. Their older brother John later worked at the Harbor Trust with our Dad Ken, the Chief Engineer. At one time I assisted Stan with the design make-over of the East Geelong BP Service Station into his business premises. Stan was a worthy gentleman and always enjoyed a catch-up, generally after Mass on Sunday. I admired and respected Stan and feel his loss. I offer my sincere sympathy to his wife and family.
