Condolence's to Robin's Family and friends. Such an inspiring man. I spent many years at Koombahla Park with Robin and his Family. I was 16yrs old at the time when I started riding lessons from Robin & Christine. It was my favourite pls to be at that stage of my life. Bought my first horse off Robin and many more followed after that. Such Fond Memories and wonderful times. Rest In Peace Robin. Ride high and jump all the clouds.... Regards Sharon Benning

The end of an era. So many memories of a time when life was simpler. The love of horses and the safety of Koombahlah. Thoughts are with the boys.

I will always have treasured “Forever Memories” of times with Uncle Robin, in both WA and Victoria. Uncle Rob continually ensured I felt safe and a part of the Lamperd family. Love and sympathy is extended to Robin’s wider family.

Robin leaves a wonderful legacy behind.

Thank you Mr Lamperd for starting ours (and many others’) horse journey at Koombahla Park and allowing us to share in your love and passion for horses.

I treasure the two Branigan’s Pride horses we have (now retired) and the love of the Irish Draught/Sport Horse, and the wonderful people met through KP. ❤️

Robin made such an impact on so many people, the quintessential horseman. And he was a great bloke, nuggety, kind, and always willing to share his knowledge. My sincere condolences to Warren, Murray and Cameron. Memories of Robin will live on.

Great memories of happy times spent at Koombahla Park. Robin was always kind and generous with his horse knowledge, he created a place where we all loved being and riding.
RIP Laureen

I struggle to say Robin, it is and will always be Mr Lamperd. From my first riding lesson with you at 5 years old to the shared drinks at the famous KP Christmas parties, I treasure this part of my childhood/adulthood life. I thank you for all of your hours of putting up with us ratbags and teaching us the love and compassion horses can bring to your lives. We are the lucky one to have the memories of such a unique place you created. I thank you Mr Lamperd. Rest easy my friend, you’ve earned your time.

Mr Lamperd you were such an important person in my childhood and formative years. You taught me the love of horses and the joy of a great horse/rider partnership. The fondest memories of galloping across the Island, flying around the cross country course in Rock paddock and even sludging through the mud yard on a rainy Sat morning with the other ‘mud larks’. Thank you for these wonderful times. X

Rip Robin.
Many happy memories of Koombahla Park, weekends and school holiday programs.
I absorbed so much knowledge just being around Robin and everyone at Koombahla.
Happy rides Robin

My condolences to the Lamperds. Sorry to hear about your loss. Warren, Murray and Cameron. It was a privilege to work for your Dad (Mr Lamperd to many) at Koombahla Park (riding school). My thoughts are with you at this time.

Christine Lamperd on 12 February, 2024 at 9:14am

Robin, we shared so many happy years together. Filled with ups, downs, adventures, travel, challenges, successes and disappointments. You were the most hard working, charming man I have ever known and your legacy lives on in our three sons and their families. You chose a personal journey which I and the boys could not share but you will always have a special place in our hearts. Bon nuit et au revoir . Rest in peace.

Our condolences to Uncle Robin's children and their families. My memories of Uncle Robin are from later in his life when he travelled to Western Australia to visit his older brother Max, and we all travelled together to visit their sister Nell in Manjimup. Uncle Robin joins his siblings. The last of a generation.

Robin Lamperd. Funny, honest, humble. I was a s*** student but he would give me the time of day. And when all else failed he thought it would be fun if I tried switching horses with him on a walk...
I love to have a beer with Robin,
I love to have a beer with Rob...
Rest easy now...

So many fond memories of Christmas at grandma & grandad's so many years ago and everyone sitting outside in the garden and catching up on the previous months /year. Uncle Robin and Grandad always, in my memories, like two peas in a pod, both with that inner strength and quiet authority that both humans and horses respect. Our thoughts and prayers are with Murray and Warren and their families.

Robin Lamperd… that name brings back so many memories. His dedication to sharing his passion was second to none. He was tough, he was kind, he was funny , he was good! Our time at Koombahla , as a family , was very special. So much shared, so much learnt, life long friends ; it was wonderful. Robin was always looking out for everyone and had everyone in line. All the kids were amazing with each other as riding buddies, a testament to Robins discipline. We are so grateful to have spent time with the family , Charlie practically grew up there! Thanks for all the memories. Rest in peace Robin , love from the Galbally family
