Sara Reid And London family on 27 October, 2023 at 11:47am

Lorraine was such a wonderful, caring and kind person and always great company. We remember all the times she and Hugh visited us in London and how much fun we had. We will never forget how much Lorraine helped us when Sara got very sick all those years ago. Lorraine was with us for many weeks helping so much and we would have really struggled without her.
We will always remember Lorraine's smile and her energy. It has been hard hearing about her struggle in recent years, but hopefully she she can rest in peace.
Lots of love from Sara, Declan , Nicola, Stephen, Lolia and Odein

Dear Hugh, Steve, Damian, Michelle, Liam, Jack and Ben - I have wonderful memories staying with Lorraine when I came to Melbourne as a young fella. She was very welcoming and always good fun. She included me in lots of family events. I also loved catching up with her in Amsterdam and taking a tour of the night life - as you can imagine Lorraine was in fine form!
It’s been tough seeing what she has gone through over the last few years. May she rest in peace. Love to you all.

Dear Hugh, Steve, Damo, and our Robertshawe / Bennett Families,

We were so sad to hear of Aunty Lorraine's passing

I fondly recall childhood trips over to Oz to visit and catching up when Lorraine and Hugh came over here to NZ. Aunty Lorraine was always full of smiles and hugs, we have lovely memories of her filling the room with warmth and laughter

Rest in peace Aunty Lorraine

Much love from
Sam, Beckie, Cody and Riley

I remember vividly the time Richard and I spent time in your house when visiting with Julian and Andrew.
Lorraine and I went shopping and had a marvellous time and much hilarity ensured over my purchases.
I remember having to wander around the house during the day in darkness as the strong winds meant we had to keep the curtains closed …. Fun times !
I am sorry I can’t attend Lorraine’s funeral but look forward to catching up with you Hugh and Steve and Michelle at the family reunion 2024

Graeme and I were both sad to hear of Lorraines passing. So many lovely memories over the last 50+ years and what a wonderful marriage you both had and so many adventures. Wish we could be there but look forward to the reunion in 2024, love to all the family

On behalf of my late husband and our children we have many happy memories of Lorraine.
Hugh and Lorraine played a significant part of my like growing up. I stayed with them often and have lots of happy memories of that time!
Danny and I enjoyed staying with Hugh and Lorraine when their boys were younger and Lorraine and I enjoyed some days of retail therapy together although even Lorraine had trouble keeping up with my stamina!
We loved having Hugh and Lorraine to stay with us in Nelson and that was the last time I saw them together.
I will always have happy memories and remember Lorraine with much love .
Rest in peace lovely Lorraine

Lorraine was a keen member of the Drysdale VIEW Club, from our early days in the Bellarine. Always supportive of The Smith Family's financial programs assisting disadvantaged children, her cheerful enthusiasm was important to our club, and this is how she'll be remembered.

😒We have fond memories of the time we spent with you in Frankfurt & especially the Christmas when you invited us to your home for our first Christmas with Peter. We always missed having you both around after you left. Lorraine had a wonderful sense of humour.

We will always remember her for her quick wit and her general knowledge when we shared a car, touring the Victorian countryside while on a Probus caravan trip. We enjoyed cooking a BBQ together and then strolling around the gardens "smelling the roses".
She will be missed by by her family and those who called her a friend. The world is a poorer place for her passing.

Dear Hugh,
My deepest sympathy to you on Lorraine's death.
In years past I enjoyed her company at Probus.
I hope you have good support to cope with your loss.
May Lorraine rest in peace.
