To my dearest Mother-in-law Joan.
This photo was taken on my 50th birthday. You always looked so beautifully dressed when you came to visit us and this photo captures how l felt about you. When l look at it l see that kind smile and gentle nature. You’d always bring your delicious sponges, or slices and some chocolates and beautiful roses that you had picked from your garden. You were so very kind and loving, not only as my mother-in-law, but as a beautiful nanny to our three children. You were also so very friendly and caring to my dear parents(Irene and Ivan), who came to love you too.
I will miss you Joan. Thank you for being such a wonderful mother-in-law to me. I end with “Love you Lots”, because that’s exactly how you ended the conversation without fail. May you rest so very peacefully.

We have such fond memories of celebrations together, lunches, and wonderful visits to the farm. We were made to feel very welcomed by Joan, with her soft and caring nature. We will remember her so very warmly. Irene and Ivan(dec), were so very fond of Joan and we treasure those memories.
