Tom and I have such happy memories of Ruth, our first meeting was here in Canada where we enjoyed spending time with her and again in Point Lonsdale where she was so kind to us starting out taking us to Ballarat which was a truly Australian experience and she made sure we got to meet the Koala's and all the other amazing animals. Our stay at Fellows Road was such a happy time and Ruth made sure we were well looked after there, we are just sorry we never got back for another visit but always enjoyed her news of all the family who have been so fortunate to have such a wonderful mother. Tom and I are glad we were able to watch the Memorial Service.

Both Ruth and David have both managed to facilitate and help form new relationships across generations through their kindness and determination. Legendary amongst the senior members of my family here in the UK and welcoming to a couple of 25 year old pommie backpackers who turned up tired, from the other side of the world and left after 2 weeks fully refreshed complete with new friendships that remain and a provide gateway to further generations should they want it. We are grateful for her desire and determination The Hollands

Ruth was a force of nature when she came to visit in East Brunswick. She was so full of energy, stories and laughter. We loved to gatecrash gatherings next door, where she would be busy wrangling grandchildren and ensuring everyone felt welcome. As was so beautifully said in the service, she leaves a wonderful legacy with her family and many friends. RIP Ruth.
